This entry is in honor of my brother and sister-in-law's dog Cody. He is a Golden Retriever. He is very sick. They will probably only have him a few more days.
They found Cody wondering around their neighborhood. My SIL pretty much fell love immediately! If you saw Cody, you'd know why. He's such a gentle, loving boy. They actually took him to the SPCA because he had a tag. Suffice it to say, his owner didn't take care of him and decided he didn't want him back. Can you imagine? They were able to adopt him. They took him to the vet to be checked out and found out he has nephratic kidney disease. There was nothing much that could be done for him. Just to make him comfortable till it was "time". So that is what they have done. He's such a great dog. Just wants to be loved. He's such a mama's boy too! He follows the SIL everywhere!
So here's to Cody boy. We probably won't get a chance to see you again. Tell Mommy to give you lots of kisses from us! Aunt Shirley, Uncle Glenn and cousin Pepper will miss you terribly.
Just a little note. Cody went to doggie heaven 4/15/08. It was time. We'll miss you big guy!

thank you aunt shirley...i loved being your nephew even if only for a short time...i am up here with my cousin, maxine, floating on the clouds now...i had the best time of my life in the last four months.Thanks for the great pictures of me...i am really more handsome in person!...sloppy kisses to you...i love you,pepper, and uncle glenn

OMG... this is so sad. How can people be so heartless? Your brother was an angel for taking that dog in for whatever short time he had left. What a beautiful dog Cody was.
